Situation

Early-stage health technology companies in the NHS required structured support to scale, while Bangladesh's healthcare system needed accessible, affordable primary care infrastructure. Both contexts required innovative funding models and operational expertise to reach underserved populations at scale.

Challenge

Identifying, funding and accelerating health technology startups in the NHS while simultaneously scaling a complex brick-and-click healthcare model across Bangladesh. Raising impact capital and managing growth across very different healthcare and regulatory environments.

Harbr board chair

Chairing the board of Harbr, a venture accelerator in the UK, providing strategic oversight and growth support.

NHS startup acceleration

Raised over £1 million to accelerate the growth of 6 startups in the NHS.

Bangladesh capital raise

Raised $15 million from IFU for a brick-and-click healthcare model in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh scale-up

Scaling 100 pharmacies and 8 diagnostic centres across Bangladesh.

Result

£1 million+ raised for NHS startup acceleration; $15 million secured for Bangladesh healthcare scale-up.
